How do I purchase tickets?
For most shows at CEPA, you will need a ticket to attend. Since CEPA Management does not maintain a box office for in-person purchases, we encourage patrons to purchase tickets online at pellcitycepa.com/tickets. These can be printed off and presented at the door or you can present the confirmation email you receive for entry. Tickets can also usually be purchased at the door prior to an event. Doors typically open one hour before the event begins. If you need special consideration for ticket purchases, please call our office (205) 338-1974 and leave a message or email us at [email protected]
Does CEPA have a dress code? What is the typical attire?
While CEPA does not have an official dress code, most patrons opt to wear business casual attire. CEPA does, however, adhere to a strict no shirt, no shoes, no show policy. Note that all of our facilities are air conditioned/heated for your comfort — please dress appropriately.
What if I lose a personal item in the facility?
Personal items found in the facility are kept for approximately 30 days. Please contact CEPA Management as quickly after the performance as possible and a member of our staff will do our best to assist you in locating the missing item.
Can I use my phone/tablet/laptop during a performance?
For most events, yes! But rules will be different for some performances due to copyright restrictions. Please adhere to instructions given prior to an event. If a member says “Filming is prohibited,” it means the play’s producers have signed an agreement that forbids duplication of the material beyond what’s in a detailed contract. However, photos are typically fine for all events! But please be considerate and TURN OFF YOUR FLASH, TURN YOUR SCREEN BRIGHTNESS DOWN and SILENCE YOUR DEVICE.
What if I’m late?
If you already have your tickets, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the show. If your tickets are being held at the Box Office or you need to purchase tickets, we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes prior to the show. After the performance has begun, it may not be possible to seat you until a break. If there is an appropriate pause in the production, we will do our best to seat you toward the back of the theater in order to avoid disrupting the performance. However, please note that some productions simply will not accommodate late seating.
Miscellaneous tips:
- Be considerate of noise with your food and drink during theater performances. Please unwrap all gum and cough drop wrappers before you enter the theater.
- Drinks and food purchased at the bars in the lobby are allowed inside! If you see any spills, please alert a member of our staff.
- CEPA is located on Pell City High’s campus, which is a no smoking facility. Please refrain from smoking on our property.
- Please avoid wearing strong perfumes or cologne — some patrons may be allergic.
- No flash photography is allowed inside the theater.
- Management reserves the right to refuse admission.
- Management reserves the right to make alterations in the cast (which may be rendered necessary by illness or other unavoidable causes)
- We are committed to providing a world-class experience for you and your guests — if you’re dissatisfied for any reason, please notify our staff at intermission and we’ll work with you to make your experience better

What if I’m unable to use my ticket?
