CEPA

Spotlight

CEPA Management launched the Spotlight Drama Program in 2017 in partnership with Jefferson State Community College – Pell City Campus. The initiative was designed as a collaborative outreach and education network with the goal of providing all residents of St. Clair County with accessible and frequent opportunities to participate in theater together.

Since then, the program has expanded rapidly, providing financial support and a performing home for eight drama clubs across the county. Spotlight’s more than 400 members collaboratively work to produce 10-12 live theater productions at CEPA each year.

Now in Spotlight’s fifth year, the program continues to expand education and performance opportunities in the dramatic arts in St. Clair County. And in 2020, Spotlight began opening pathways for its members into new creative outlets in digital media with Spotlight Studio, providing members the chance to experience script writing, film, and audio recording.

Spotlight stays connected thanks to Hargray. It is supported by The City of Pell City, Pell City Schools, St. Clair County Schools, The Alabama State Council on the Arts, Trussel, Funderburg, Rea, Bell, and Furgerson, and Goodgame & Co. Further support through donations and endowments ensures the continuation of this vital program.
